Letter from the Chapter

Potential New Members,

As the school year takes full swing, I wanted to tell you how excited I am to meet each of you.

For those who are hesitant to become a member of the Greek Community, I encourage you to at least go through the process. Initial expectations you have may change and you may fall in love with a sorority chapter in the end!

As a freshman, I initially did not want to go through the formal recruitment process. After seeing that my friends were going to, I decided to give it a chance to see if Greek Life was for me.

Once I walked into Delta Delta Delta, I had experienced a feeling of comfort and certainty that this was the organization for me. Everything fell into place as the process continued and each time I came to the chapter I felt more and more at home. After meeting many members of the chapter, I realized the preconceived notions I had had about Greek life were incorrect, and I later accepted my bid to Delta Delta Delta.

Since bid day, I have made friendships that will stay with me forever. Had I not gone through the process, my college career would not have been as rewarding as it has been with Tri Delta a huge part of my life. The members of this chapter have changed my life!

If you are uncertain, try and look beyond the stereotypes of the Greek Community. I truly believe you will find your second home, whether it is with us, or elsewhere! Tri Delta, along with the rest of the Greek community at Syracuse, is dying to meet you and share with you our amazing experiences and love for our community.

Please email me at kgonchar@syr.edu with any questions or concerns you may have!

Delta Love,

Kara Gonchar
